After hectic holidays starting a new year can have a lot of pressure. Everyone is talking about starting new and a millions ways to improve.. As much as I love new commitments and ideas, it can be pretty stressful.
Did you know that over 85% of new years resolutions fail? 85%!!! That`s a HUGE number. The reason is – most of us tend to make a long list of things we should be doing and after 3 months we end up failing and become disappointed.
The problem is Not US! The problem is the LIST!
Setting up unrealistic goals and then crashing down is a common way for many of us, including me. If I tell myself that I am going to go to the gym 5 days a week, eat ONLY whole foods and sleep 9 hours every day – as easy as it sounds it is NOT realistic for me. Working out 3 times a week for 30 minutes each time, eating clean 80% of the time and sleeping regularly is REALISTIC for me!
Be specific, focus on ONE thing and do it well. Keep in mind that what you do in the long term has most benefits.
